Ship an order

When an order arrives, Linework gives you a ready-to-print label with both addresses. You choose the courier, pay the postage, and add the tracking number in the app: the buyer can follow the parcel and the order is marked as shipped.

Proof of shipment

Courier and tracking number in the order protect you and keep the buyer informed.

The Linework shipping label#

From the order you get an A6 label (105 × 148 mm) with:

  • From: your store's name and its shipping address (the address you ship from).
  • To: the buyer's name and the delivery address of the order, with the country and, if the buyer gave one, the phone number.
  • Order: the order reference (LW-…) and the number of items.
  • A barcode: with the tracking number if you have already added it to the order, otherwise with the order reference.

If the parcel crosses a customs border (sender and recipient in different countries, unless both are in the EU), the label gets a second page: the CN22 customs declaration, or CN23 for higher values, filled in with the items, weight, value and country of origin. You complete the HS tariff number of each item, the date and your signature.

The Linework label is not prepaid postage: it doesn't include the shipping cost and isn't a courier's label. You pay the postage to the courier you choose. There is no integrated courier for now; an integrated DHL service is coming.

First time: your store's shipping address#

The label needs the address you ship from. You set it once per store (the owner or a manager of the store team can do it):

  • Seller mode → your store → Shipping address (save the store first if it's new); or
  • Seller menu → Shipping (Shipping & Delivery) → a shipping profile → Ships from; or
  • directly from the label: if the address is missing you see Add your store address first and the Set shipping origin button.

Fill in street and number, postal code, city, province or state (optional) and country, then tap Save address. The same address is used to calculate the automatic shipping costs, and saving it doesn't send your store back to review.

Ship an order step by step#

  1. Seller mode → Orders → open the order.
  2. Tap Shipping label, check the preview and tap Save / Print: from the share sheet you can print it, or save it and print it later (from the print preview you can also save it as PDF). It fits A6 label paper; on A4 paper, cut it out.
  3. Pack the item well and close the parcel.
  4. Choose a courier: for example Poste Italiane, BRT, GLS, InPost, SDA, DHL or UPS in Italy; in other countries the national postal service or a local courier. Pay the shipping at the counter, at a pickup point or online on the courier's website.
  5. If the courier prints its own label, stick that one on the outside and put the Linework label inside the parcel as the packing slip. Otherwise stick the Linework label on the parcel and add the postage the way the courier asks (stamps, a postage code or the courier's receipt).
  6. For a parcel that needs customs, sign the CN22/CN23 page and attach it as the courier asks (usually outside, in a clear pouch).
  7. Keep the courier's receipt, then add the tracking in the app (next section).

The label screens are in English for now. Owners and managers of the store team can print labels.

Add the courier and tracking number#

  1. In the order tap Fulfill: the Fulfill the order panel opens.
  2. Choose Courier and fill in Courier (for example Poste Italiane), Tracking number and, if the courier gives you one, Tracking link (optional).
  3. Tap Mark as shipped.

The buyer is notified with the courier and tracking details, and the order shows as shipped. That is also when the sale is credited to your Linework balance, minus your plan's commission (see When you get paid).

Always add a real tracking number: it is your proof of shipment. If the buyer says the parcel never arrived, or asks for a refund, the tracking and the courier's receipt show when and how you shipped it.

Delivering it yourself (by hand, with your own vehicle or with pickup)? Choose I deliver it myself and add an optional note for the buyer: they see "Delivered by the seller" and confirm when they receive it.

Local delivery with Linework Drive#

For buyers near your store, Bloop can offer Linework Drive delivery: a Linework courier picks up the order from you and delivers it the same day; the buyer gives the courier a delivery code. Turn it on in your store's settings with Offer Linework Drive, a delivery radius and a pickup point. When such an order arrives, pack it and tap Ready for pickup in the order: no label or tracking is needed. If no courier is found, you can search again or tap Ship normally and ship as described above. Linework Drive is being switched on gradually; how couriers work: Linework Drive.

Good to know#

  • Who pays the shipping? You pay the courier, and the buyer pays the shipping cost at checkout: Bloop's automatic shipping costs for your store are there to cover it.
  • Shipping abroad? Check that you deliver to that country in your shipping profile. Outside the EU, print the CN22/CN23 page, add the HS tariff numbers, sign it and follow the courier's customs rules; the buyer may have to pay import duties and taxes in their country.
  • Parcel lost or damaged? Keep the courier's receipt and the tracking number, open a claim with the courier and contact Linework support: Menu → Report a problem (attach the receipt) or support@linework.app. See Get help.
  • Can I print the label again? Yes, as many times as you need: if you print it after adding the tracking, the barcode shows the tracking number.
  • Can't ship an item? Cancel it from the order: the buyer is refunded.
