API Terms of Use
Last updated: October 2026. These terms apply to anyone who uses the Linework Open API (“the API”).
By requesting developer access, creating an API key or calling the API you agree to these terms, in addition to the Linework Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and community rules. If these terms conflict with the Terms of Service on the use of the API, these terms prevail.
1. Access and keys#
- Access is granted at Linework's discretion after reviewing your request. The information you give in the request must be true and kept up to date.
- API keys are personal to the account that created them. You are responsible for every action made with your keys and for keeping them secret.
- If a key is exposed, revoke it immediately. Tell us at developers@linework.app if you suspect misuse.
2. Allowed use#
You may use the API to automate and integrate your own Linework account, for example to publish your content, interact with your community, manage your Bloop store and fulfil its orders, and answer people who contact you.
3. What you must not do#
- Spam: unsolicited or repetitive messages, comments, likes, follows or posts; mass follow/unfollow; misleading links; artificially inflating engagement.
- Scraping: bulk collection, storage or resale of data about Linework users or content, including building profiles or datasets, training machine-learning models on other users' content without their consent, or mirroring Linework.
- Impersonation: pretending to be another person, brand or Linework itself, or hiding that an account is automated when people interact with it.
- Circumventing limits, quotas, blocks, private profiles or the chat anti-spam rule, including by using several accounts or keys for the same purpose.
- Asking users for passwords, payment details, one-time codes or other credentials.
- Selling, sharing or sublicensing access to your keys, or offering the API as a service to third parties.
- Interfering with or overloading the service, probing it for vulnerabilities without authorisation, or reverse-engineering it.
- Any unlawful use, or use that infringes the rights of others (including intellectual property and privacy).
4. Content published by bots#
- Everything your integration publishes or sends is your content and your responsibility, exactly as if you had posted it by hand.
- It must respect the Linework community rules and applicable law. Moderation applies to bot content like any other content.
- Automated accounts should make clear that they are automated, and offer a way to reach a human where appropriate.
5. Personal data#
If you receive personal data through the API (for example names and shipping addresses in orders, or chat messages), you act as an independent controller of that data. Use it only for the purpose for which it was provided (such as fulfilling an order or answering a request), protect it with appropriate security measures, do not share or sell it, delete it when no longer needed, and comply with applicable data-protection law, including the GDPR.
6. Limits and changes#
Linework sets rate limits and quotas and may change them. We may add, change or remove endpoints; we will try to announce breaking changes in advance in the changelog, but we may act without notice for security, legal or abuse reasons.
7. Suspension and revocation#
Linework may suspend or revoke developer access and any API key at any time, with or without notice, in particular if these terms or the community rules are breached, if a key is compromised, or to protect users and the service. You may stop using the API and revoke your keys at any time.
8. No warranty#
The API is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Linework is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of data, profits or business arising from the use of, or inability to use, the API.
9. Branding#
You may say that your product works “with Linework”. You may not use the Linework name or logos in a way that suggests that Linework endorses, sponsors or built your product, without our written permission.
10. Contact#
