Feed, stories and live

Spiral is the social side of Linework: a feed of posts from the people you follow, stories that last 24 hours and live streams.

Home videos#

The Home tab (Linework logo) shows full-screen vertical videos, one per screen: swipe up for the next one. On the right: sound on/off, Like (long-press to see who liked), Comment, Share and Save. Tap the author to open their profile.

The Spiral feed#

  • At the top: the red LIVE button, Trends, Search and the notification bell.
  • Below: the GROW YOUR NETWORK banner, the row of lives happening now and the stories row (your circle is "You").
  • The feed refreshes by itself; if you scrolled down, a ↑ new posts button takes you back up.
  • Ads are marked Sponsored: you can hide or report them.
  • To create a post, tap the round spiral button at the bottom right (see Posts and comments).

Search and Explore#

Tap the search icon. With an empty box you see For you, a grid of posts chosen from what you like, comment and save, and suggested accounts. While typing you get people, hashtags, trending hashtags and top creators. Tap a hashtag to see all its posts.

  • Trends: the hashtags of the last 7 days, in your country and worldwide.
  • Spiral map: posts and videos shared near you in the last 30 days. Only posts where the author added a location appear, rounded to about 1 km: the map never shows where people are right now. You can also open it by tapping the place on a post.

Stories#

  1. Tap your circle You.
  2. Take a photo (tap) or a video (hold), or pick from the gallery.
  3. Edit: text (Aa), emoji and stickers, music from the Linework library (the credit is added automatically), filters and drawing.
  4. Tap Share story. It stays visible for 24 hours.
  • Your story: see who viewed it, delete, download, share it, Share as a post or Add to Highlights.
  • Other people's stories: reply (the reply arrives in chat), report, block or unfollow.
  • Highlights: keep stories on your profile in named circles. From a story's ⋯ choose Add to Highlights → New Highlight. You can rename, reorder, choose the cover, remove stories or delete a highlight (the stories stay in your archive).

Live streams#

  1. Tap the red LIVE button in Spiral.
  2. Add a title if you like and allow camera and microphone.
  3. Tap Start live: your followers see you in the Live row.
  • As host you can switch camera, see who is watching, follow, mute or remove a viewer (they can't come back) and End the live.
  • Viewers comment, react and can send gifts paid in vLWK: 80% goes to the creator. TOP shows the biggest supporters of that live.

Sounds and hashtags#

Tap the music label on a post or story to open the sound page: preview, licence credit, how many times it was used, Use this sound and the posts that use it. Tap a hashtag to open its page.
